NGOs and local authorities in Greece, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway, working within the asylum and migration field, can now apply for EEA Grants.
The focus area for the grant scheme is bilateral cooperation within the field of reception and screening of new arrivals and the accommodation of vulnerable groups in Greece, as well as assistance to voluntary return.
The EEA Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to reduce economic and social disparities and to strengthen bilateral relations with 15 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe.
The Directorate of Immigration in Norway (UDI) is involved in two programmes under the EEA Grants, and both of them will be implemented in Greece.
As part of this work, UDI is responsible for managing a bilateral fund under the grants. UDI is pleased to announce that a part of this fund is now open for applications. The total available funding under the call is € 50,096.
The fund is governed by the EEA grants rules and the Guideline for strengthened bilateral relations. This call for proposals will be processed in line with relevant Norwegian law and guidelines.
The application deadline is 30 January 2014.
